Description
Summary :
This position is responsible for polysomnographicrecording, determining testing and treatment parameters / proceduresin conjunction with the ordering Physician, Medical Director and / orSDC protocols.
Additionally, this position is responsible for alltechnical duties related to the polysomnographic evaluation andtreatment of sleep disorders providing high quality results andpatient care.
Responsibilities :
- Assesses patient testing modalities andtreatment protocols and consults with referring Physician, MedicalDirector or Clinical Director as needed to produce optimalpolysomnographic procedures.
- Evaluates sleepstudy related equipment and inventory.
- Performs routine and complex equipment care,maintenance and repairs.
- Scores sleep / wakestages and clinical events by applying professionally acceptedguidelines and SDC specific protocols, generating accurate reports.
- Demonstrates competence to perform assignedresponsibilities is a manner that meets the age-specific anddevelopmental needs of the members served by the department.
- Appropriately adapts assigned assessment,treatment, and / or service methods to accommodate the uniquephysical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific and otherdevelopmental needs of each member served.
- Performs other duties asassigned.
