Certification Details
- ACLS : Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required for certain units
- BLS : Basic Life Support Required
- PALS : Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required for certain units
- NRP : Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure as required by unit description
- TNCC : Trauma Nursing Core Course as required by unit description
- EFM : Electronic Fetal Monitoring as required by unit description
- Tech Cert Verification - National : Required based on Profession / State
- State License 1 Verification : Required prior to start
- NIH Stroke Certification : Required based on unit description and requires renewal every 2 years
- Medication Test / Pharmacology Competency Exam : Required within 3 years of start
- Dysrhythmia / EKG Competency Exam : Required for telemetry, critical care, and ED units
- MedStar Health Modules (Sitels) : Candidate will need to complete facility modules by HDD
- Physical Exam : Annual, stating capability to work, signed by MD, PA, NP, or DO
- Mask Fit Test : Required within 9 months of start and updated annually

- Ratio : 1 : 2-3
- Cert Required : BLS and PALS
- Certs Preferred : IV Start
- Skill Required : Vents, CPAP and / or BIPAP, Central Line Care
- 2 Years Minimum Experience Required
- Must have 1 prior travel assignment
- Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
- May come into contact with Covid Patients*
- This facility requires that all employees have the Flu vaccine
