The Children's Center of Wakefield is located in Wakefield, MA on a half acre of land featuring an amazing outdoor space offering a peaceful environment for all children and staff.
The Program has deep-rooted reputation throughout the local community for highly reliable, dedicated and professional staff members.
Our Program takes pride in quality education, care, and nurturing for all children and families. We are seeking a well-organized, career dedicated professional to co-lead in out Younger Toddler Classroom.
Candidates must poses the ability to plan and prepare curriculum that invokes hands on learning in all areas.
Additional skills include the ability to communicate will in oral and written form with your team, parents, children and administration.
Must be able to provide both good large group and individual group supervision. Ability to captivate young children, model patience, kindness, and enhance early learning opportunities.
Candidates must have EEC Infant / Toddler Lead Teacher Certification or higher qualification. The ability to work an 8 hour range from 730 am - 5 pm is required.
Candidates must be positive, genuine, and gentle in their guidance practices in the field of Early Education and Care.
Duties :
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for infant children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate curriculum and events.
Requirements :
- Previous experience working with infant-aged children in a professional setting, such as a daycare, nanny, or classroom environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage a classroom of young children while maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young children on their level.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education certified.
