FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER
Catch-a-Fire Pizza is now hiring a Front of House Manager. We will offer an outstanding level of service paired with a fun, casual vibe.
The menu will feature a variety of wood-fired items including appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches, entres, salads and desserts, focusing on Italian-American flavors.
The Front of House Manager is responsible for managing all FOH service operations, training staff and creating an outstanding guest experience.

This is a full-time, salaried position, with hours falling primarily on evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Some higher education or vocational training specializing in restaurant management.
- At least 2 years of experience in hospitality management
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Outstanding communication & leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to successfully manage a team
Preferred Requirements
Cicerone Level 1 certification (or must be completed within the first 90 days of employment)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate and manage outstanding service by ensuring that all systems and stations are operating efficiently at all times;
continually strive to find ways to improve speed and quality of service
- Be instrumental in defining and standardizing company goals, policies and operating procedures
- Set goals for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and organization
- Comply with all ServSafe
- Comply with all Covid-19 Safety recommendations
- Responsible for operational costs and operating within set budgets
- Assess and improve profitability by communicating and working with management team
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry.
- Set the tone for a positive staff experience and ensure staff is adhering to company goals and values.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff.
- Ensure that all correspondence with guests, staff & purveyors is handled in a professional and timely manner.
FINANCIALS & ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide updates on the following :
- Profitability; presenting plans for reaching improved profitability
- Sales reports; Work with management team to set sales target and meet goals
- Labor / COGs; Set and manage budgets for labor and COGS
- Guest Feedback
- Review ratings (Yelp, Google, Customer Voice)
- Guest feedback summaries (dining surveys, Secret Shoppers, Igloo feedback, etc)
- Staff competence with regards to FOH guest experience
OPERATIONS
- Facilitate and manage an outstanding full service operation by maximizing service flow; continually strive to find ways to improve speed and quality of service
- Ensure the restaurant is clean and organized; responsible for all maintenance & repairs (POS, appliances, furniture, groundskeeping, etc.)
- Oversee proper opening and closing protocols
- Troubleshoot when problems arise and find effective solutions; working with management team when necessary
- Operate all aspects of POS system (general functionality, make changes, run reports)
- Assist in creating weekly staff schedule
- Keep an inventory of all FOH supplies and place orders
BAR MANAGEMENT
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive beverage menu
- Order / Procure all beverage (LBW) and supplies
- Manage Retail Beverage Program
- Implement & maintain proper policies and procedures for Bar Staff
TEAM DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring & training
- Set standards and expectations to ensure that all staff are abiding by company policies and procedures
- Plan and conduct informational / training sessions for FOH staff
- Manage ALL FOH Service Staff (servers, hosts, bartenders)
- Continually offer training for the FOH team to ensure they are knowledgeable and confident in their positions and evaluate individual staff performance.
- Post and communicate information with staff as needed
- Facilitate communication with BOH MGMT to ensure food & service is top notch
- Set the tone for a positive staff experience
- Evaluate team member performance and provide feedback to improve productivity; identify strong employees and position the team for success
GUEST SERVICES & COMPANY CULTURE
- Be a Brand Ambassador!
- Ensure an excellent guest experience at all times; ensure that all staff is communicating with guests in a professional, courteous & helpful manner
- Ensure that all correspondence with guests, team members & purveyors is handled in a professional and timely manner
- Strive to build and maintain outstanding guest relations
- Work with Marketing Manager on community events and promotional marketing
- Continually strive to have positive & professional relationships with guests, staff, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales reps and community members
