Job Overview : The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting the warehouse operations by picking and shipping orders, reconditioning and testing equipment, handling incoming inventory, and loading and unloading trucks.

This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the warehouse processes, contributing to the overall success of the company's operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Picking / Shipping Orders

Accurately pick orders based on customer requests.

Prepare and package orders for shipment, ensuring all items are securely packed.

Coordinate with shipping personnel to ensure timely dispatch of orders.

Reconditioning and Testing Equipment

Inspect and recondition electrical equipment to meet quality standards.

Perform tests on equipment to ensure functionality and safety.

Document and report any issues or defects found during testing.

Handling Incoming Inventory

Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.

Record and organize incoming stock in the warehouse management system.

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and levels.

Loading and Unloading Trucks

Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring all items are handled with care.

Use appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move heavy items.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certification to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery.

Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and components.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to insert weight limit ).

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures and noise levels.
