What Will your Day Look Like as a Behavior Technician (BT) ?

• Teachindividuals with autism to talk, play, make friends, and function independently, while helping reduce challenging behaviors and improve overall functioning
• Work one on one with kiddos (or small group), in-home, in daycare / school or in an EI Center
• Collectdata and write session notes to demonstrate each client’s progress toward his / her / their goals
• Work collaboratively with your BCBA supervisor

What Will you Do as a Behavior Technician (BT) ?

• Provide intensive one-on-one therapy (or small group setting) to children with ASD
• Follow and implement care plan goals designed by BCBAs including reinforcement procedures, teaching procedures, behavior reduction procedures, discrete trial teaching, etc.
• Establishes & maintains therapeutic relationship
• Accurately collect, record data based on client behavior; complete session notes
• Provide basic care to the clients (e.g., toileting, eating)
• Comply with all BACB and company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines

Requirements for Behavior Technician (BT ) :

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children; ASD experience strongly preferred
• Reliability- ability to work a consistent schedule throughout the week
• Must have reliable transportation
• To complete the physical demands of the job (frequent sitting and standing, sitting on and getting up from the floor, kneeling, bending, and running with children) you must be able to : Stand and move forat least75% of the day;

lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds
