Emergency Department Overview
- Annual ED volume : 27,000 patients, with an average of 1.73 patients per hour
- 11% admission rate
- Medium acuity level
- Equipped with a helipad for emergency transport
- EMR system : Cerner
- Codes : part of the code team; physicians are expected to respond to codes anywhere in the hospital unless a critical patient requires immediate attention
- Nearest trauma center : University Medical Center
- Credentialing time : approximately 90 days
Staffing Details
24-hour physician coverage in the EDAdvanced practice clinician coverage : 12-24 hours daily based on seasonal needs; winter months : 24 hours of APC coverageKey Responsibilities
