Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Expected starting base salary $95,000 to $130,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities :
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Resolve timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
Qualifications / Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance.
- 5-7 years of accounting and management experience in a dynamic, high growth environment. Prior Accounting Manager or Controller experience preferred.
- Payroll processing and compliance (ADP payroll ) and MS Office Suite (Advance Excel).
- Prior experience in federal contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance preferred.
- Maintain and administer Company Accounting Policy and Controls
- Excellent communication skills, including communication to the executive level.
- Ability to drive process improvements and change management.
- Experience in managing month-end and year-end close processes.
