About The Position
Job Title : Echo Tech Job Specialty : Echocardiography Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 0730 - 1600 Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years as an Echo Tech License : Valid license in Cardiac Ultrasound from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certifications : Associates of Science degree in a healthcare field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program;
OR completion of a two-year Echocardiogram training program Must-Have : Pediatric experience Job Description : - Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce cardiac images according to policy and protocol.
- Perform examinations such as adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pediatric echocardiograms.
- Ensure a high level of quality in all exams and provide all necessary information to the interpreting physician for accurate diagnosis.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide procedures in a timely and efficient manner. - Utilize Philips IE33 and Philips Epiq equipment, and Epic EMR in the unit.
- No call or weekends required unless volunteering. - Will not float to other units or departments. - Mandatory attendance for a seven-day orientation program.
- Orientation will include training on department-specific processes, electronic medical records (EMR), and contrast administration.
- Dress code : Hospital-provided scrubs. - One weekend on-call during the assignment. Note : The shift is from 7 : 30 am to 4 pm.
Orientation is required for all seven days during the first two weeks with specific hours.
