POSITION TITLE : Director of Marketing Communications (MarCom)
POSITION REPORTS TO : Chief Product Officer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for timely execution of the development of marketing support materials including, but not limited to, sales literature, packaging / package design, catalogs, presentations, direct mailings, web site, press releases, field / product announcements, trade show promotions, advertising placements. All things marketing.
- Interface with Product Managers and Sales to effectively plan and create necessary marketing materials and / or campaigns for new or updated products.
Manage the customer Co-op Marketing programs, develop co-op materials, assist customers with their campaigns, and approve and track expenses.
- Manage the Inovonics web site, search engine optimization and site metrics insuring it remains a resourceful tool for employees and customers including developing evolutionary changes, maintenance and expansion plans.
- Manage social media communications and posts.
- Supervise all tradeshow and special event details including sales collateral materials and shipping schedules.
- Oversee all marketing related to product launch or update materials.
- Manage the efforts of outside agencies and professional services to execute MarCom deliverables. (Ex. Website services, PR services, Ad Design Agency, etc.)
- Develop and manage annual MarCom strategy and overall budget.
- Manage Marcom team members, their monthly expense reports, training logs and annual reviews.
- Maintain all Marcom related vendor relations.
- Report all MarCom analytics and metrics in a quarterly report to the Executive Team, Sales Team and Product Management Team.
Additional activities as appropriate.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Two years as a graphic designer.
- Two years at a full-service agency in some capacity.
- Two years MarCom experience in B to C, B to B, or hi-tech environment.
- Proficient in graphics software programs specifically, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficient in digital marketing and campaign management using Salesforce and Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement);
using Digital Experiences and Salesforce CMS.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist Certification or above; preferred, but not required.
- Experience managing websites using Wordpress.
- Basic understanding of HTML 5 and CSS
- Video production and editing experience; preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to write technical material and communicate to various levels of audiences.
- Thorough understanding of tradeshow logistics.
- Ability to work in a cooperative fashion to coordinate efforts from several different departments or entities to achieve a specific goal.
- Basic understanding of channel marketing.
- Experience creating and managing budgets.
- Working knowledge of social media marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to change directions, if necessary, at any given point in a project.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree in a Marketing, Graphic Arts, Communications, or similar field.
COMPENSATION
$145k - $155k
