EAMC is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist Opportunity to join the team in Auburn / Opelika.

INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST :

Pinnace Cardiovascular Associates (PCA), a busy and well established Cardiology practice, is recruiting an interventional cardiologist to join the team.

PCA opened its premier location in the summer of 2020. The 40,000 square foot, two-story facility has twenty-four exam rooms as well as a variety of ancillary services including vascular ultrasound, echo, nuclear medicine, lab, EKG and device clinics.

The practice includes eight cardiologists, one electrophysiologist and ten nurse practitioners. PCA operates a vast network of outreach clinics across nine locations.

Pinnacle Cardiovascular Associates is a service of the East Alabama Health (EAH) system which is located in one of the fastest-growing counties in the state of Alabama.

The beautiful Auburn-Opelika area is located 90 minutes from the Atlanta airport, two hours from Birmingham, and less than four hours from many Gulf Coast beaches.

It is also home to a diverse, well-connected community with outstanding school systems as well as a vibrant food and entertainment industry.

To keep up with the growing need for care in the area, EAH has expanded its facilities. In 2019, we built the Spencer Cancer Center , a beautiful, $40 million comprehensive cancer care facility.

A year later, we opened a 35,000-square-foot cardiology clinic with 24 exam rooms, 12 rooms dedicated to imaging, and office space for 15 providers - its called Pinnacle Cardiology Associates .

In 2021, our Auburn Medical Pavilion opened in the Auburn Research Park on the Auburn University campus. It houses a freestanding emergency department, a retail pharmacy, our largest outpatient imaging facility, an ambulatory surgery center, and a dedicated breast health center.

Additionally, in 2021, we opened an 11-bed level III NICU to serve the growing patient demand for services in the area. Also on our main hospital campus, construction is underway to add 30 critical care beds and space for future expansionto our West Pavilion with an expected opening in Spring 2026.

A groundbreaking was held in January 2024 to announce plans for a $40 million Center for Mental Health that is slated to open in Fall 2025 .

This project will include 40 private inpatient rooms, allow for moving our East Alabama Psychiatric Services outpatient clinic to the facility, and provide space for our new psychiatric residency program.

Our main hospital campus, East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) was recently featured on Newsweeks 2024 list of Americas Best Maternity Hospitals .

In addition, EAMC has been recognized as a top provider in cancer care, orthopedics, and mammogram imaging by the Womens Choice Award.

The medical staff at EAH has experienced growth comparable to the area. The physicians here are some of the finest in the medical field and we continue to hire the best of the best.

In the past 5 years, more than 110 physicians have been recruited to East Alabama Health. We are looking to recruit additional Interventional Cardiologists to meet our communitys growing needs.
