Job Summary :
University Home Care is seeking Physical Therapists to join our team and be able to travel around Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, and Livingston counties.
These individuals will provide exceptional care to patients in their home setting, promoting health and independence through therapeutic exercise, functional training, and patient education.
This individual contributor role requires a highly skilled and compassionate therapist who is dedicated to helping patients achieve their optimal physical potential.
Compensation & Benefits :
This is a pay per visit position with a competitive compensation package of $70 to $80 per visit, paid bi-weekly, with the flexibility to make your own schedule.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients to assess their physical needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques, such as stretching, strengthening, and range of motion exercises, to promote improved mobility and function
- Utilize specialized equipment and modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to aid in patients' recovery and pain management
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and integrate treatment goals and plans
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care, documentation, and communication
- Stay current on latest research and advancements in the field of physical therapy
Requirements :
- Valid and current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work with patients of varying mobility levels
- Knowledge of and adherence to all applicable legal and ethical standards
- Must also have a valid driver's license
