CalWest's client school in Seattle, Washington seeks an Intermediate School Spanish Teacher (Grades 4 and 5) to begin in August 2024.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Latin American studies, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Candidates must be experienced with the developmental needs of 10 to 12 year old children
- Have experience implementing Spanish curriculum.
- Academic or professional experience in gifted education, creative problem-solving, and inquiry-based education is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing Spanish curriculum for grades 4 and 5.
- Plan and design daily instructional activities for all students
- Develop multiple tools to assess student learning on an ongoing basis.
- Advisor to mixed grade level students
- Participation in class outings and overnight trips
- Attendance at faculty and department / grade level meetings
- Filling-in with other duties as the schedule allows.
