Civil Science is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager- Land Development in our Las Vegas Nevada office to join our team.

As a Project Manager-Land Development, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and completion of projects.

Working under the supervision of the Office Manager, you will assist in coordinating various aspects of project initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with your team to coordinate and manage both engineering projects and growing our regional presence.

Key engineering projects are focused on residential or commercial projects.

Responsibilities of a Project Manager- Land Development :

  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with Office Manager to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide updates on project progress, milestones, and potential issues.
  • Prepare reports summarizing project status, key performance indicators, and other relevant metrics.
  • Use data insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work with financial teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, planners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Identify and address project-related challenges in a proactive manner.

Minimum Requirements for a Project Manager- Land Development :

  • Must currently hold a Nevada Professional Engineer License or have the ability to gain licensing in Nevada through reciprocity within six months of start date
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Technical knowledge of civil engineering related services including land development design, land surveying, construction oversight, and planning.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • 7+ years experience with Land Development
  • Existing relationships within the Nevada area clients municipalities, districts, and agencies .
  • History of managing project teams while mentoring a staff of engineers and designers
  • Experience writing proposals, contract management, and client management.
  • Previous experience with identifying, marketing, and securing projects within Nevada.

Preferred Requirements

Experience using Civil3D design software, Nevada drainage law, and municipal design codes.
