Job Description :
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Media, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents, ages 14-18, at an outpatient setting.
As an adolescent therapist, you will provide screenings, assessments, individual and group sessions, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to our clients.
The adolescent therapist will work closely with the Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools initiative to decrease barriers to access to care and provide on-site, school assessments when needed.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients with mental health diagnoses.
- Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, peer specialists, and other staff members to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based practices to improve quality of care to clients
- Ability to provide evening hours 3 evenings a week (Ex : Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 11p-7p or 12p-8p)
Qualifications :
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Candidates seeking licensure as an LPC or LCSW encouraged to apply. LPC supervision provided for individual's seeking licensure in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
- At least one year experience required. Practicum and internship counts as experience if in a mental health outpatient setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
