$75-hr (Weekly pay + benefits)

6 month contract (Excellent potential for extension)

Full-time : M-F 8am-5pm (Onsite 2 days a week)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Performance Engineer to join our team. As a member of a growing team you share the responsibility for ensuring that the companys service is reliable, scales efficiently and offers a delightful experience to our customers.

You will have the opportunity to explore cutting edge open source and proprietary technologies. You will develop analysis and visualization tools for application and network performance.

You will conduct performance analysis of large complex systems and work across engineering teams to identify creative solutions.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain performance monitoring and alerting solutions at scale
• Monitor and respond to trends in Production workload performance before they become a problem
• Analyze site performance to identify potential bottlenecks, scalability issues, and other potential areas of improvement.
• Collaborate across engineering and infrastructure teams to identify creative solutions to improve performance, the customer experience and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Develop scripts to automate performance and capacity-related tasks.
• Create and update operational processes in collaboration with team members.
• Document performance processes and best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• 3+ yrs working as a Performance Engineer or DeVops / SRE
• US citizenship or Greencard holder
• Must have experience more than just running performance tests and able to identify root cause.
• Experience to create the test harness and manage the performance test environment
• Experience to design the performance experiments and tests and gathered requirements for data sets, traffic levels, and workload types
• Experience to identify performance test regressions and scalability bottlenecks
• Experience looking at different services, systems behave and how services are ran, etc.
• Experience with performance and systems characterization, analysis and tuning of applications at web scale.
• Understand how the system architecture works and what service level indicators for the application best describe system performance.
• Ability to explain how you would scale a type of system, and what the root cause is
• Experience to conduct performance analysis of large complex systems and work across engineering teams to identify creative solutions.
• Experience for ensuring that the companys service is reliable, scales efficiently and offers a delightful experience to our customers.
• Experience to analyze site performance to identify potential bottlenecks, scalability issues, and other potential areas of improvement.
• Experience in analysis and visualization tools for application and network
• Experience in Networking, Windows / Linux / Unix, and Virtualization technologies
• You have experience in scripting languages and a familiarity with best practices for performance and capacity management.
• Experience to design, develop, and maintain performance monitoring and alerting solutions
• Bonus : Worked with AWS, SaaS Applications and network experience
