Who Are We Looking For?
Elm Street Technology is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to the team!
We are looking for a motivated self-starter eager to help contribute to the success of the company and make a career here under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has 2-3 years of HR and payroll experience. This person should be extremely detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
We recently acquired a company of 100 employees in Austin, TX. This Generalist will be the HR professional at this site.
The Director of Human Resources is located in North Carolina and other members of the HR team are in our Dallas HQ.
What Will You Do?
- Assisting the HR team with administrative tasks that require precise data entry
- Helping to maintain up-to-date human resources files and documentation
- Assisting with recruitment by screening candidates' resumes and making initial phone calls
- Handling benefits enrollments, changes, and questions
- Abiding by federal and state-specific employment law and compliance
- Maintaining the confidentiality of HR records
- Assisting with payroll
- Keeping track of virtual timecards and missed timeclock punches for hourly employees
- Updating necessary payroll reports monthly
- Maintaining organized files for historic payroll reports
- Assisting with mailing employee W-2s, 1095s, and 1099s at year-end
- Helping with basic paperwork for state payroll taxes
- Reconciling benefits invoices
- Assisting with new hire enrollments and yearly open enrollment
- Handling other projects as assigned
Who Are YOU?
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
- 2-3 years of human resources experience
- Impeccable attention to detail and organization
- Professionalism to handle human resources matters discreetly and respectfully
- Eager to learn and find out new ways to help without being asked
- Ability to meet deadlines with accurate work
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence adapting to rapid change as we grow
- Capable of self-directed work
- 100% comfortable with learning new technology systems quickly
- PHR and / or SHRM certifications not required, but always a plus
