About The Position
American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an RN to join our State Psychiatric team in Weston, WV.
This is a state psychiatric hospital with a primary focus on forensic patients and a maximum capacity of 200-beds.
Psych RN Job Details :
- Pay Rate : $1,900 to $2,100 per week
- Schedule : Variable Shifts
- Available Shift : Rotating, 3-4 shifts per week
- Start Date : Two weeks from offer
- Located In : Weston, WV
- Requirements : Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience, preferably in a psych, corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain WV and / or compact licensure.
As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric setting, you’ll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to institutionalized individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation.
This position works in partnership with a team of state psychiatric staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.
Responsibilities include :
- Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
- Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
- Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
- Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
