Business System Analyst

Location : Tampa-hybrid

The Senior Business Systems Analyst role specializes in acting as the main interface between Technology and Clearance and Settlement business / product areas, identifying, documenting and analyzing business requirements, crafting functional specifications for the projects development teams.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and technology minded Business Systems Analyst to join our team

Primary responsibilities :

• Produce functional specifications by analyzing business requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams.
• Lead workflow design and contribute to user experience design, where applicable
• Collaborate with project team, product management, and collaborators on assigned aspects of the project.
• Review estimates of resource needs and schedule of work with related collaborators.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members by elaborating the necessary details required through all phases of projects.
• Participate in creating system documentation under company-specific best practices and standards.
• Recommend controls by identifying gaps and proposing opportunities for automation of processes.
• Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk.

Talents needed for Success :

• 6+ years of IT experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst.
• Familiarity with diverse technologies and platforms
• Familiarity with Agile techniques and tools - Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.
• Solid experience in writing SQL queries - comfortable with unions, inner and outer joins.
• Basic excel manipulations, pivot, lookup, if / elseif, substring manipulations, etc.
• Work with multiple Collaborators to assemble functional requirements.
• When applicable, create documents for customers and / or provides information for others to document.
• Familiarity with securities processing a plus.
• Familiarity with Z / OS a plus.

• Clear communicator, with good verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to prioritize and focus on most urgent tasks & work in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Not afraid to ask many questions, push back, or raise attention to risks or issues.

• Comfortable working closely with team management to review approaches and requirements that solve the business problem.

• Describes data attributes
• Understands data relationships and dependency rules
• Graphical User Interface Design and Usability Integration of Business functions and services
• Assists in the development of Test scripts
• Ensures functional accuracy through peer review process
• Participates in aspects of SIT execution an defect reviews; supports user acceptance testing Process automation
• Recommends controls by identifying gaps and designing solutions to automate manual processes
• Provides process methodology support for their team members and projects Awareness of Security and Privacy Risks Company best practices, standards and regulations heres to standards (ex : ISO messaging standards option;

IOSCO principles compliance)

• Recommends and promotes solutions that support best practices
• Contributes and supports functional best practices in department
• Maintains system documentation
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education; reviewing professional publications;
