Position Summary
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Education : High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum Experience : Nonerequired.
- Certification : Documentation of current State Issued Nursing Assistant Certification or completion of Medical / Surgical semester from a school of nursing program with a B average or better or licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician or documentation of a current State issued Emergency Medical Technician License or documentation of having worked as a Military Medic / Healthcare Specialist (DD214) or similar military issued document needed to validate training or documentation of having successfully completed a Patient Care Technician Program and hold a currentPatient Care Tech National Certification (NHA, NCCT or NHCWA).
Patient Care Tech will be required to take and pass Memorial Medical Center’s Patient Care Tech course within 90 days of hire.
Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
