EarthCraft Landscaping is hiring! The Equipment and Facilities Technician will assist operations by managing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, picking up and delivering material for jobs, and managing inventory including tree and plant holding areas.
Equipment and Facilities Technician is a full-time, year-round position. This position has the option for FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING! Start early or work late-it's your choice! As long as you meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work, your schedule can be tailored to fit your lifestyle.
POSITION SUMMARY
Equipment Management
- Safely move and transport equipment to and from job sites
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues; coordinate major repairs with service providers if needed
Material and Inventory Management
- Pickup and deliver material and supplies as needed
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure easy access and safe storage of equipment and materials
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of equipment, parts, and materials
- Conduct regular inventory audits and update inventory data as needed
- Monitor and adjust irrigation schedules to meet the needs of plant material in holding areas
- Conduct inspections of irrigation to ensure efficient water use and system functionality
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Provide support and coordination with field teams
- Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks and support as needed across various project
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Position Requirements :
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven experience in equipment handling, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of machinery and tools
- Experience with inventory management and record-keeping
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices for equipment handling
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good physical condition, ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds, ability to kneel for long periods of time, ability to bend up & down
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment
