Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Med / Surg
Location : Asheville, North Carolina
Shift : 12-Hour Days (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM), Full-Time, Rotating Weekends
Shifts Per Week : 3
Scheduled Hours : 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate : $30.00 - $43.00 per hour
Job Overview :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in North Carolina.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to meet the healthcare needs of patients, demonstrating professional nursing care and exceptional communication.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care, assess patient health problems, and develop nursing care plans to meet individualized patient needs.
- Administer medications and perform necessary procedures in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary changes to care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide appropriate care and ensure smooth care transitions.
- Educate patients and their families on treatments, procedures, and recovery processes.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure proper documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Participate in unit-based shared governance councils and actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :
- Required : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrolled in a BSN or advanced degree program (must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire).
- Preferred : Master's in Nursing.
Experience :
Required : At least one year of hospital nursing experience.
