About the Company :
An international chemical manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a Regulatory (Hazardous Material Transportation) Specialist to be based from their headquarters in Cleveland, OH.
Reporting to the Director of Transportation Compliance, the Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's DOT compliance program and Transportation Safety Policies.
The successful candidate will be tasked with influencing a healthy safety culture, requiring the ability to influence and engage employees at various levels of the business.
This position can be based in the following locations : Cleveland, OH; Minneapolis, MN; or Chicago, IL.
About the Role :
- Manage hazardous material transportation compliance for the entire organization
- Provide subject matter expertise and support in all aspects of hazardous materials transportation compliance
- Monitor emerging regulations
- Prepare and execute training
- Provide Regulatory Transport Support for Key Operational and Business Initiatives
- Act as company spokesperson and SME in all matters of hazardous materials transportation related rule development.
Responsibilities :
- 3+ years' experience in hazardous materials transportation compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
- Experience managing cross-function projects
- Current DOT, IATA, IMDG, TDG and ADR certifications preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
