AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Program Manager 2 with demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity / IT program and contract management supporting the DoD and Department of the Navy on cutting edge IT and Cybersecurity technology that are essential for warfighting success.

As a Cybersecurity / IT Program Manager 2, you will :

A week in the life of a Cybersecurity / IT Program Manager 2 :

• Interacts with the Government Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and Team Lead(s) to ensure government goals and requirements are aligned with the contractor's efforts.
• Provides senior-level insight and understanding of Federal, DoD, DoN, and NAVAIR acquisition policies and practices supporting CS and IT services.
• Evaluates approaches and potential solutions to complex CS and IT requirements and provides recommendations that support program objectives.
• Performs managerial administrative duties for geographically dispersed Cybersecurity and IT contractor teams .
• Integrates, monitors and balances resources across multiple work streams and CS and IT projects.
• Assesses security controls and reviews SSPs and POA&Ms to evaluate effectiveness and ensures proper protection of associated Information Systems.
• Coordinates with American Systems management team members for cross contract and programmatic synergy in a very dynamic computing environment.
• Provides timely and accurate fulfillment of all CDRL deliverables and other documentation to meet customer and contract requirements.

Job Requirements

• TS / SCI clearance Candidate must be willing to take a CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in an information technology-related field
• Contract management experience
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Federal, Department of Defense, and Department of the Navy acquisition practices .
• 7+ years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Program Manager for IT & Cybersecurity on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• 5+ years of demonstrated relevant experience with supporting Cybersecurity activities in secure processing environments
• Working knowledge of DISA SRGs, STIGs, and the JSIG.
• This position is 100% on-site with occasional travel to team sites. Requires 10%-20% travel.

Valuable skills that would be helpful in this role :

• Familiarity with High Performance Computing Environments (HPCE)
• Experience with LINUX
• Knowledge of MS Project
• Exposure to cloud computing

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary / hourly range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
