The Judge Group is currently seeking a Senior Public Health Research Analyst to support a Defense Health Agency project. This position requires five days per week onsite in Falls Church, VA.

Develop accurate, evidence-based, complex, peer-review publication level reports and information papers as required in support of activities as government staff and members research and address a wide variety of issues relevant to military healthcare.
These comprehensive products usually take 6 months to 1 year to develop and require high-level conceptual ability and critical thought, expertise in technical and scientific writing, and grammatical accuracy
Responsible for providing minutes and executive summary reports of meetings and shall consolidate and edit notes from committee members into appropriate format and draft findings and recommendations.
Provides accurate minutes and executive summary reports that concisely describe the clients and Subcommittees’ business at meetings with no missed suspense’s
- Conduct and assist government staff and members in executing fact finding, analysis, and research as necessary for Departmental health-related issues brought to the client attention
- Assist with identifying and coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs) within DoD, civilian industry, and academia, and gather accurate and timely information on respective taskings.
- Support the development of the Terms of Reference for potential taskings and / or the Department’s response to a report when requested.
- Ability to help assist with development of recommendations and reports, to include creating quarterly meeting updates and out briefs with PowerPoint or other presentation software, as well as preparing preliminary and final reports at the direction of the members.
- Assist government staff and members with development of report products, . abstracts, posters, platform presentations, and executive summaries, for submission and presentation to peer-reviewed conferences and journals
- Read and participate in briefings as required by government client to keep current with important health, military, and government topics related to the Military Health System.
- Collects and analyzes annual reports, procedures, system design, and other data useful to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assesses current practices and documents, records, and reports on findings. Maintain up to date written documentation and policies related to the organization's business activities
- Responsible for collecting data to assist internal management review and decision making, generates statistical charts and graphs to clearly articulate trends or to highlight information that leads to data driven decision making
- Ability to understand data and create tools to visualize content and analysis for stakeholders
- Tracks and analyzes data, and assists in the preparation of reports and statistical material to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and recommends solutions for complex / difficult problems
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
- Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
- Recommend, develop, and implement administrative plans and procedures designed for maximum flexibility and effectiveness
- This position is primarily concerned with the solution of management problems through studies that involve consideration and development of changes in managerial policies, practices, methods, procedures, and / or organizational structures
- Responsible for other management services such as management analysis, records management, auditing, statistics, and data processing systems
- Provides administrative planning and oversight for a variety of special programs as assigned by management Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or similar field plus 7 years of related experience
- Strong scientific, quantitative and qualitative research experience is a MUST
- Public Health experience is a MUST
- Provide technical, editorial, and graphics support to the government staff in preparing reports and other documents relating to Board activities.
- Must be able to conduct information searches, comprehensive literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, scientific, medical, and technical-writing, copy-editing, graphic preparation, report layout design, proofreading, and production
- Must be a strong communicator
- Possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from team members
- Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies
