The Haar lab in the department of Chemical Biology & Medicinal Chemistry at UNC-Chapel Hill is a multi-disciplinary research group looking to advance cardiovascular therapy development through the application of light responsive tools.
Our research focuses on the use of molecular biology, optogenetics and photo controlled-signaling tool development for use in in vivo systems.
As a part of the Eshelman School of Pharmacy we are committed to advancing medicine for life and developing leaders in pharmaceutical sciences who make a difference in human health worldwide.
To build our team and better support this mission we are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join us and guide efforts to design and use light responsive tools that better define the spatiotemporal components of signaling in cardiovascular adaptation and disease.
Competitive candidates will have an interest in collaborative translational research projects and an interest in optogenetic tool building and protein design or cardiovascular pharmacology and models of ischemic injury and hypertrophy.
