POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Staff on the 3rd floor Medical / Surgical / Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care based on the Watson Model of Care.
This role requires leadership in organizing, planning, and coordinating patient care, while also demonstrating a commitment to fulfilling the mission of the hospital and upholding its core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize nursing process to anticipate and plan for patient needs
- Assess and prioritize patient care and adjust plans as necessary
- Communicate effectively using SBAR in hand-off situations
- Document patient care and follow unit-specific and hospital policies
- Conduct hourly rounding on patients and maintain a therapeutic nurse / patient relationship
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with unit orientation
- Provide basic hygiene and ADL's to patients
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Current California Nursing license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with electronic medical records and bilingual skills preferred
