IT Coordinator, Urban and Regional Planning
Position Summary :
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an IT Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL.
This role will support data science and big data initiatives within the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and the Visual Planning Technology Lab and serve as a technical liaison to the Charles E.
Schmidt College of Science and FAU OIT.
Summary of Responsibilities :
Provides technical support to the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, configuring and installing computers, laptops, tablets, and printers.
Assists in troubleshooting network connectivity problems, both wired and wireless.
Provides technical assistance, both hardware and software, to students, faculty, and staff with their computers, tablets, mobile devices, and related accessories.
Assigns users to network shares, configuring smartphones, imaging URP-owned laptops and desktops, developing and maintaining documentation, designing, testing, and installing operating systems and application software on desktop systems.
Updates Help desk tickets effectively and clearly. Desktop and hardware support are also included, as well as research, testing, and administration of server systems.
Troubleshoots software, network, and hardware-related issues .
Recommends technology solutions to departments as required by his / her supervisor.
Provides program management support to projects to meet cost, scope and schedule metrics set forth by the research program, as well as support for writing data management plans for grant proposals and presentations.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Management Information Systems or in an appropriate area of specialization;
or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Management or in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills :
Good written and verbal skills are a must, and superior customer service skills are essential.
Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, and / or Intune.
Experience with managing a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix, Azure, and VMWare.
Experience with installing, supporting, and troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office365 suite.
Experience with supporting mobile devices such as iPhone and Android.
Salary :
$60,000 - $65,000 per year.
