Job Duties
Assessment Coordination for Phase I Curriculum
This individual will work with Assessment and Evaluation staff and module directors to create and maintain high-quality module exams, generate testing reports, and ensure that grades are available to students and faculty in a timely fashion.
Each of these tasks will require mastery of software used for examinations and self-reliance to troubleshoot routine examination problems.
This individual will reliably and validly enter data when necessary and verify the validity of the data entered.
Program Evaluation Support
The individual will work with the Director of Assessment and Evaluation and other staff to efficiently and accurately create and distribute evaluation forms to support data collection for program evaluation for the medical education program.
This individual will assist with report generation. Each of these tasks will require mastery of software used for program evaluation.
In addition, this individual will coordinate and participate in meetings with faculty and staff designed to address evaluation.
This individual will reliably and validly enter data when necessary, and for various evaluations, verify the validity of the data collected.
This may include basic statistical analyses and chart preparation of program evaluation data, including but not limited to, descriptive statistics, group comparisons and simple correlations.
Medical student scholarship and research & Honors program
The position will work closely and communicate regularly with the Information Resource Specialist overseeing their work, to assist with the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of student scholarship and research, and the medical student Honors program.
This is a year-round responsibility including coordination and monitoring of all four student classes simultaneously to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements regarding student research.
As needed by the Information Resource Specialist, assistance could also include, but is not limited to, helping with SharePoint Research site updates, with coordination of research-related SER weeks, and monitoring student progress.

Required Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, statistics, education, public health, or a related area
Work Experience :
2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Education :
Master’s degree in education, statistics, psychology, public health, or related area.
Work Experience :
Experience with higher education.
Experience conducting program / outcome evaluations and analyzing program evaluation data.
Demonstrated experience with educational software including but not limited to OASIS, ExamSoft, Blackboard, Redcap, etc.

Ability to build collaborations with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Requires self-motivated individual with very strong organizational and multitasking skills and self-discipline with the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Requires initiative and ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Pleasant, courteous, and helpful telephone and email manner and professional demeanor.
Requires excellent record-keeping skills, organizational skills, and demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office platform Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Web / Internet.
Must be able to maintain strict protocols of all confidential or sensitive information.

Compensation Statement :
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking.
A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding.
At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
