Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs the activities of logistics department, and has responsibility for subordinates in receiving, warehouse and shipping.
- Complying with safety rules and DOT standards
- Conduct daily standup meetings.
- Ensure daily tasks are being performed by staff. These can include (but are not limited to) Morning ship report,
- Shipping COB summary
- Daily sending of RDRA log
- Material Transaction Requests (MTR) processed and completed within 24 hours of receipt.
- Work orders (WO) picked within 24 hrs.
- Bulk material picks completed daily.
- Review of Kardex issue log
- Miscellaneous ship orders (MSO) are processed daily.
- Cycle counts Validate Kardex and lineside cycle counts against Logistics inventories. Maintain records for audit purpose.
- Departmental Training Maintain Training Logs Establish 2 deep training on each position. Update and create training material as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and publish departmental metrics.
- Ensure departmental mailboxes requests are answered within 24 hrs.
- Directly answer any Elevated inter-department correspondence
- Supervise proper handling of incoming products through the receiving docks, and stocking and handling of components
- Ensure preparation of all necessary paperwork and the coordination of all necessary activities required to package and ship materials and products required to satisfy customer requirements
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining departmental and individual goals & performance measures.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of direct
- Working with and in systems such as Oracle and Kardex
- Leadership of people, including goal setting and performance management
- Good track record of building strong teams who are engaged in their work working together to achieve common goals.

Working Conditions
- Logistics warehouse
- Dock doors opened / closed throughout the day.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. regularly throughout the day.
- Standing for multiple hours per day
- Sitting at workstation for multiple hours per day
- Walking throughout logistics area as well on manufacturing floor
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
