Oncology RN Research Coordinator

Employment Type : Full timeShift : Day ShiftDescription : Position Title : Oncology RN Research CoordinatorPosition Summary : Performs all duties necessary to review, implement, coordinate, manage and monitor oncology research activities at Trinity Health West Michigan This includes screening and recruitment of eligible patients through collaboration with oncology providers and other engaged community oncology programs.

Additionally, these responsibilities extend to clinical trial opportunities provided by external pharmaceutical and industry sponsors and specific to the oncology patient population.

What the Oncology RN Research Coordinator will need : Graduate of an accredited school of nursingBSN and Oncology Nurse Certification preferredCurrent Michigan RN licenseMinimum of 2 years’ experience in an acute Oncology care settingStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office and EPIC EMR platform as well as computer skills necessary to navigate clinical research data platformsWhat the Oncology RN Research Coordinator will do : Assumes responsibilities for the review, implementation, coordination, and management of all oncology research activities performed at Trinity Health West Michigan sites.

Coordinates and maintains all regulatory documents and investigative site files necessary to achieve compliance with the FDA, OHRP, Trinity Health Research Compliance, Mercy Health RegionalInstitutional Review Board or applicable central IRB, as well as sponsoring entities.

Serves as a liaison between oncologists, radiation oncologists, pharmacists, nurse navigators, mid level providers and all others involved in the provision of research related care to ensure timely dissemination of information and maintain positive working relationships.

Develops and facilitates research process and procedure to support cooperation with external oncology research collaborators such as West Michigan Cancer Consortium, Cancer Research Consortium of West Michigan, and other future partners.
