Food Prep & Kitchen Supervisor - Full Time

A Day in the Life of the Food Prep / Kitchen Supervisor :
- Follow menus and direct the preparation of all food in the kitchen under the direction of the Program Director.
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of food.
- Check food shipments into the kitchen, ensuring quality.
- Supervise the storage and care of foods and supplies.
- Ensure recordkeeping compliance; track daily meal count, meal production, and inventory.
- Assign, direct, plan, and supervise the work of kitchen employees and volunteers.
- Work with Program Director to plan work schedules and evaluate performance.
- Report any problems or accidents occurring in the kitchen or premises.
- Supervise and participate in the daily cleaning of kitchen, serving, storage, and dining areas.
- Oversee food prepping / packing staff; directing them to next tasks
- Direct sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assume responsibility for checking that all equipment in the kitchen area is in safe, working condition.
- Attend all staff meetings and training as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements :
Walking, stooping, standing, sitting, bending, hearing, seeing, lifting up to 50lbs
