About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Level 2B - Nursery Job Specialty : Special Care Nursery & Newborn Care Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Nights (07 : 00 PM - 07 : 30 AM), Every Other Weekend & Holiday Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : 2+ years of NICU experience required License : RN License Certifications : BLS & NRP Must-Have : 2+ years of NICU experience, proficiency in EPIC Job Description : Work in a 25-bed unit encompassing labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn care, special care nursery, and operating rooms.
- Provide care in a setting that includes 5 labor and delivery rooms, 12 postpartum rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 2 ancillary nursing units with 4 beds each.
- Attend to all patient populations within the unit.- Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2-3 for labor and delivery evaluations, 1 : 1 for active labor with magnesium infusions or epidurals, and 1 : 3-4 for postpartum care.
- Work primarily night shifts, with no floating required.- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for charting.
- Manage an average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor cases.- Deliver patient care with attention to detail and ensure high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
