Electrical Controls Technician - Currently Hiring on NS

What your compensation will look like :

  • Up to $43.58 per hour
  • $37.46 per hour to start
  • $2,000 sign on bonus
  • Shift differential- Night Shift $1.00 per hour when working between the hours of 6pm 6am
  • 10 days (120 hours) of vacation annually and 11 paid company holidays

  • Reading and updating electrical and control schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Providing technical support / skills for equipment troubleshooting and controls / equipment modifications
  • Performing uptime and downtime, preventative electrical maintenance
  • Understanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Lead new hire onboarding plans once experienced at Chan

What your schedule will look like :

Currently hiring for Night Shift Positions

Schedule :

12-hour shifts - 2 on followed by 2 off, 3 on followed by 2 off, 2 on followed by 3 off

  • 6 : 00 am to 6 pm
  • 6 : 00 pm to 6 am
  • Every other weekend is a 3-day weekend
  • Cycle length is 2 weeks
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and emergency events OT Rate of 1.

5 of payrate after 40 hours

  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

What you have to offer :

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • Tech school diploma and 2 years of experience in related field or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
  • Electrical / Controls experience may include plant power distribution, plant equipment controls and plant electrical support
  • Experience in a manufacturing / production environment preferred

Physical requirements :

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and / or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair / beard net and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
  • Need to be able to work in a tobacco free environment
