PositionOverview :
The Mechanical Engineeris a key member of the mechanical engineering team for multiple clients on multiple projects. Theirresponsibilities include the design and specifications of mechanical structuresand equipment according to industry standards using prescribed methods associated withmechanical systems for new construction and facility renovation projects as well asverifying mechanical design deliverables.
He / she performs specific and limited portions of broadassignments under the direction and oversight of anexperienced licensed Senior MechanicalEngineer.
EssentialFunctions :
- Preparemechanical designs layouts design sketches conceptual designs tocapture design intent and meet completion deadlines ofmultipleprojects.
- Generatedetailed equipment sizing design calculations for mechanicalequipment and prepare equipment datasheets.
- Develop mechanicalsimulation models and optimize designs.
- Designof HVAC plumbing systems as well as research of related buildingcodes.
- Support development of schedules workassignments and staffing requirements to ensuresuccessful project completion.
- Collaborate with other designers and engineers assigned to eachproject as well as review work progress andresults.
- Develop and submit fieldreports with documentation of all jobactivities.
- Mentor and supervise a MechanicalEngineer EIT.
- Be aware of possible businessdevelopment opportunities for the firm.
- Othertasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure inMechanical Engineering.
- Bachelors degree inmechanical engineering from an accredited fouryearuniversity.
- Five to ten years relevantexperience performing engineeringrelatedduties.
- Healthcare facility design experienceis highly desirable.
- Experience working withRevit MEP tool.
- Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite required
