DescriptionInterested in joining the team behind Amazon’s Echo devices and experiences? We’re working hard, having fun, and making history!As a Senior Product Manager - Tech, you will define and build the next generation of media experiences (think audio and video) for Alexa-enabled devices that delight customers and meets all of their multi-device entertainment needs.

This role is inherently cross-functional you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features and products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon.

Key job responsibilitiesConceive of, research, write, and then executive against PRFAQs. Assemble detailed BRDs and coordinate with stakeholders including designers, QA, Customer Support, and Engineering to refine requirements and drive toward launch.

Contribute to the media experiences roadmap and determine priorities based upon KPIs, user research, and market trends. Communicate status and recommend options to leadership in meetings and reviews.

A day in the lifeBe a part of the team that touches virtually every new Alexa Device program that we create. If media is part of the customer experience, we are involved to ensure a customer obsessed experience.

Our workday varies considerably, but often includes : continual review of customer feedback to improve capabilities and quality, attendance in product review meetings and weekly business reviews, analysis of KPIs and other relevant metrics to determine the health of our experiences, and research of new feature concepts and market trends.

Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree (or higher) in a technical field (e.g., computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, etc.

5+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of consumer facing feature / experience or device product management experience in mass market consumer electronics / software / hardware / sensors / mobile product management5+ years experience shipping consumer features and experiences that involve hardware and software.

5+ years experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver features / experiences or products and projects on tight deadlinePreferred QualificationsMBA or Master’s degreeDemonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partnersExperience with the product development process for consumer device hardwareExperience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executivesStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actionsHigh attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.

Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentHistory of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
