Mobile Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment field mechanic with good attention to detail, who takes pride in their work. Applicants will need to be able to inspect, service, and maintain a wide range of medium and heavy-duty construction equipment. As a field mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and providing routine maintenance for customers equipment.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities :

• Care and maintenance of a service vehicle with crane.
• Inspecting trucks, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnosing faults using manual and computerized testing equipment.
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.
• Cleaning and servicing of work equipment like winches, blades, and booms.
• Performing major repair work when necessary.
• Consulting with other mechanics on difficult jobs.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management and customers.
