Position Overview :
We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join our primary care team in a locum tenens capacity. The successful candidate will practice in an outpatient-only setting with access to state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Primary Responsibilities :
- Consult with patients to determine appropriate treatment.
- Recommend and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Monitor lab results, medication adherence, and potential toxicities.
- Prescribe and administer treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations.
- Discuss procedures, test results, and prescribed treatments with patients.
- Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
- Represent the practice at hospital committees, sharing meeting responsibilities with the physician team.
Schedule :
- Hours : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
- Call Ratio : Balanced call ratio shared among physicians and sites
- Daily Patient Census : Approximately 18 patients per day
Qualifications :
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine
- Active medical license to practice in California
- Proven experience in a primary care setting
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
