Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field

1 year of experience with report creation and performing technical (programming and scripting) activities related to writing instructions (code), applications program development, program and system testing, and business / systems analysis and design, developing on a Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software package or records management system, Power Business Intelligence, writing SQL queries, and C# development.

5 years of experience with report creation and performing technical (programming and scripting) activities related to writing instructions (code), applications program development, program and system testing, and business / systems analysis and design, developing on a Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software package or records management system, Power Business Intelligence, writing SQL queries, and C# development.

Resumes will be evaluated to determine whether candidates will proceed to the interview phase of the process.

Positions are located in Albany NY, but location assignment may be flexible and discussed during the time of interview.

Duties Description Reviews writing of computer programs based on previously developed and approved program specifications.

Writes and tests procedures, parameters and other specifications required to implement computer systems usually with user input.

Develops or assists with the development of unit, component and system test plans usually with user input.

Develops or assists with the development of test data usually with user input.

Creates Business intelligence solutions using Power BI, SQL scripting and other data mining and analytical tools.

Review and approve technical documentation.

Design, development and modification of templates, queries, XSLT reports, data mapping documents and configuration changes.

Work with end users to review / analyze existing systems, reports, and documentation.

Participate in business user and stakeholder meetings for requirement gathering sessions.

Develop, write, and maintain system requirement documents and assist with use case development when required.

Interact with NYSP, ITS and vendor staff as necessary to determine and implement functional and technical requirements.

Design and develop system functionality per specifications.

Analyze, design, develop and document technical solutions utilizing Niche RMS, HTML, XML, XAML, CSS, XSLT, and SQL queries.

This will include creating report designs, data mapping documents and configuration changes.

C# Application development.

May supervise the Business Systems Analyst 1 positions.
