Summary
Treats patients referred for Physical Therapy services throughout Cape Fear Valley Health System. Works as an effective Team member that contributes work efforts towards the improvement of quality patient care as well as Departmental and System mission and values.
CPR training will occur during hospital orientation and must be maintained during employment. Must be able to effectively apply knowledge and skills learned.
Must have effective problem solving skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills which requires the ability to quickly assess situations and appropriately respond in a timely manner.
Must have the ability to understand role as defined and work within a Team-oriented environment. Must be obtained within initial 45 days of employment* and maintain a current credentialing.
A minimal proficiency score of 80% is required for credentialing. Employees are extended three opportunities to pass the credentialing test.
All clinical staff serving both inpatient and outpatient areas must have evacuation training. All clinical staff must be trained in restraints, seclusions and safety devices.
Must be able to communicate orally, read, write, hear, and visually assess patient status. Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics when examining or delivering care.
Must be able to transfer and transport patients of various body weight and composition. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit, and walk frequently.
Must be able to demonstrate proper use of equipment. Must be able to manipulate equipment.
