Role Description

IT Operations Manager, you will be crucial in managing the daily operations of our organization's IT infrastructure and you will work closely with the Director of IT to ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems, networks, and services and ensure that they align with company goals and IT strategic objectives.

You will need a mix of technical proficiency, strategic vision, and leadership to guide your team and foster ongoing improvements.

This role is hybrid and will require 3 days a week onsite at our Somerville, MA office.

What you'll do :

Oversee the daily operations of the System and Network Administration team, including infrastructure, systems and network management.

Lead IT projects, including upgrades and infrastructure improvements, with the ability to take on the role of solutions architect when appropriate.

Monitor performance and availability of systems, prepare and present reports on IT Operations performance and improvement initiatives.

Manage and resolve IT incidents and problem escalations, ensuring a timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations

Develop and maintain the IT Operations budget and participate in the IT procurement process.

Provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to IT Operations staff, fostering a culture or collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.

What you'll bring :

5-7 years of experience as an IT Operations Manager or equivalent role managing a team of IT professionals

Strong Technical knowledge of IT Systems, platforms and technologies, including but not limited to Windows Operating systems, virtualization, cloud computing, network protocols and security principles.

Experience with Linux, Gemini and / or Copilot a plus.

Experience with RMM Tools such as Connectwise automate or Kaseya VSA as well as other organizational tools like IT Glue, MyITProcess, and Addigy.

Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Azure, Intune and Sharepoint. Exposure to Google workspace is a plus.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Willingness and ability to dive in as a player / coach and be hands on with technology as projects require.
