Job Summary :

The Shack Restaurants Hosts provides world-class service. The Shack restaurants are very busy, and the hostess will properly attend to all guests.

The role of a Host entitles you to provide friendly, responsive service to create a spectacular dining experience for all our guests.

Hosts are required to be welcoming and warm when greeting our guests upon arrival. While also, managing guest list efficiently and in a timely manner to provide the best service.

Responsibilities :

• Promote, work, and conduct oneself in a manner consistent with the mission of THE SHACK RESTAURANTS
• Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.
• Inform guests of establishment specialties and features.
• Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Record guest names and the number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited.
• Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
• Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server’s name upon seating.
• Engage in conversation with guest during waiting period
• Locate waiting parties when tables become available.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Maintain all entrance windows and doors clean, and clean as needed without the directive of a supervisor.
• Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications :

Qualifications for Hostess require obtaining Food Handlers, must be 16 year of age or older. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
