Job Description
The Elevator Operator under the direction of the Elevator Supervisor, executes the essential duties and responsibilities in accordance to the standard process requirements, best operating practices and safe work procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complete sanitation items assigned by supervisor including steeping, germination and kilning vessels.
- Complete sanitation items on transferring equipment and conveyors.
- Chlorinate vessel assigned by supervisor.
- Periodic loading of 50 pound bags of sulfur into ovens.
- Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance items.
- Be safety orientated and have excellent attendance.
Qualification Requirements :
- Ability to work on all shifts (Schedules are subject to change start / stop times as well as rotating schedules).
- Ability to work some weekends, holidays & overtime.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Pass a physical and Respirator Fit Test exams.
Protective Clothing Required :
The employee must wear safety shoes, safety glasses, high visibility clothing and a hard hat and a full face respirator when required.
