Maintenance Associate
1st Shift- Maintenance Associate-$20-25 / hr-Grand Rapids

Preferred Qualifications :
- Must be mechanically inclined with experience in hydraulic, HVAC, Welding, electrical, and plumbing
- Inspect, test, clean, and repair machinery and equipment and discuss findings with maintenance supervisors
- Dismantle and install new parts on defective machines / equipment
- Install and repair electrical issues on machines and equipment such as transformers, wiring, and other electronic components
- Install, repair, and program automated machinery and equipment
- Ensure all equipment preventive maintenance is completed and documented correctly and efficiently
- Maintain all GMP and Food Safety Rules
- Must be able to work around flour, nuts, and other baking ingredients (food allergies)
- Assist with production duties when needed and maintenance is not required (will learn different aspects of production)
- All other duties may be assigned by the supervisor
Preferred Skills :
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of related experience and / or training
- Must be able to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures, and instructions. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, dived in whole numbers, fractions and decimals)
- Ability to lift and / or move up to 50lbs throughout shift
- Ability to stand, work with hands, handle / feel for objects, reach with hands and arms, climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl while performing maintenance duties
- May be required to work overtime and must be available by phone for emergencies
In this position, candidates will provide mechanical and electrical support to a local food manufacturing facility. Candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems.
Candidates must follow GMP guidelines and safety procedures.
