Test Engineer, Lead

Clearance Requirement : Active Secret Clearance is required to startTravel Requirements : NegligibleLocation : Dam Neck, VA SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Test Engineer, Lead to provide testing expertise to conduct testing on the lab-based system, to include component level testing, full-scale testing of the integrated system, and regression testing.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following : · Provide testing expertise to develop test plans and document results for component level testing, full-scale testing of the integrated system, and regression testing.

• Provide engineering expertise to integrate physical components such as computer hardware, networking hardware, software defined radios, software, user terminals, and ancillary equipment into a single cohesive lab-based system.
• Work under the minimal technical supervision of experienced senior personnel for daily and weekly tasks.· Develop and executes test scripts and scenarios to evaluate the functionality of systems.
• Create test data to validate functional and technical requirements.· Review requirements to ensure that tests will satisfy specifications.
• Interact with engineering to analyze and perform tests for systems.· Participate in project reviews.· Collect data and analyzes pattern.
• Provide documentation and regular progress reports for test cases.· Perform new tests when field data failures or other problems arise.
• May train, oversee, and provide tasks to junior test engineers.· May be responsible for evaluating performance of junior staff and / or subordinates.
• May assist in the selection, training, and development of staff.· May lead and direct limited tasks assigned to junior personnel.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience : · Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline.

• Six (6)+ years of professional experience working as a test analyst, systems engineer, test engineer, or similar.· Three (3)+ years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and / or hydro-electronic equipment.
• Experience with engineering requirements analysis, creation of test plans and procedures, and conducting test events.· Proficient knowledge of programming languages and of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree depending on domain experience and contractual requirements.
