Job Description
The duties of Production Supervisor include planning workflow, monitoring staff performance, creating an efficient layout of equipment and materials, and implementing and maintaining quality control procedures.
Provides direct supervision to production associates. Responsible for driving continuous improvements to improve safety, quality, cost, cycle time, and team development metrics.
Essential Job Functions :
- Provides direct supervision of associates and ensures high performance in all respects.
- Develops production teams to improve their skills, productivity, and desire to achieve high performance.
- Coordinates with other functions to meet customer expectations in areas such as quality and lead time.
- Directly accountable for achieving performance objectives.
- Oversees assembly and packaging of product in conformance to documented procedures and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ensures all records are kept up to date and properly completed
- Appropriately addresses sub-standard performance in a timely and effective manner
- Provides administrative support such as time card approvals, off day scheduling, and other duties.
- Manages time off so as to not disrupt production schedule requirements
- Provides training as required
- Participates on site teams as needed to ensure coordination with other functions
- Oversees and executes all new product introductions and changes to ensure smooth implementation
- Perform all work in conformance to high quality standards
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience supervising multiple employees
- Intermediate knowledge of warehouse management systems, email systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform administrative work including data entry
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to disperse needed communications to production associates
Additional Information
Pay rate - $25.00 hr.
