job_description.job_card.job_descriptionConduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for incarcerated patients Provide medication management and ongoing care to stabilize and support patient mental health needs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nursing, medical, and correctional staff Document treatment plans, progress notes, and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards Participate in case reviews and provide consultation as needed 60 min new consult / 30 min follow up / up to 14 patients per day MD or DO with Board Certification / Eligibility in Psychiatry Active and unrestricted medical license in California Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary and correctional environment Corrections experience preferred but not required training and support provided for motivated candidates Competitive compensation package Flexible scheduling options Supportive and collaborative clinical environment Opportunity to serve an underserved population while maintaining work-life balance Travel and housing available

About the Role :
SetLine Health is seeking a dedicated Staff Psychiatrist to join our team providing essential psychiatric care to adult inpatients at a county jail facility. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering mental health services to both male and female populations in a structured correctional setting.
Schedule Options :
- 4x10-hour shifts OR 5x8-hour shifts
- Daytime schedule (no nights)
- In-person or hybrid models considered
- No call
