Position Summary
- Employer is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for their Global Managed Services Operations team
- Remote role that can be based anywhere in the US
- Sr. Project Manager will focus on relationship building and strategic alignment between project portfolio and business strategy
- Responsibilities include managing risks, providing accurate project and portfolio status updates, and contributing to solution designs
- Sr. Project Manager will also work on improving project and portfolio methodology efficiency and effectiveness
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Drive ServiceNow strategy :
- Ensure strategic alignment between project portfolio and business strategy
- Manage risks and provide accurate project and portfolio status updates
- Contribute to solution designs to achieve project milestones
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of project and portfolio methodology
Project Management
- Deliver all projects on-time, within scope, and within budget
- Develop project scopes and objectives involving relevant stakeholders
- Develop a master project plan to track status of all active projects
- Use verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
Relationship Management
- Manage relationship with the business, IT, and other internal stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Experience :
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience
- Minimum of 8 years as a Project Manager
- Minimum of 5 years managing integration projects
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with other Service Management systems
- ITIL V3, V4 Certifications are a plus
Skills :
- Proficient at building relationships and gaining influence with peers, leadership, and internal teams
- Strong personal soft’ skills such as empathy, listening, mirroring, and communicating in different methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in developing plans to address risk / weakness and recommendations for process improvements
- Skilled in developing and maintaining standard business processes and workflows
- Strong technical aptitude or background to understand diverse and complex projects and business operations
- Enable a culture of continuous improvement and champion root cause analysis
- Lead by example and demonstrate a can-do attitude to develop a culture of teamwork
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns and analyze data
- Ability to creatively solve problems with limited resources and input
Education
BS / BA degree preferred or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or engineering
