Requirements :

• NC or Compact License
• Minimum 1 Years of Experience
• Experience in an inpatient setting is required
• Skills : Administer chemo
• Chemotherapy administration certification
• CPI preferred
• OCN preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred

• Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert
• Locals accepted
• UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
• Ratios : 1 : 6-7
• Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location
• COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Not Required
• Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Required - Medical / Religious Exemptions Only

Float Requirement : Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.

Weekend Requirement : *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.

Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics. Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy / biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.

DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.

UNIT ORIENTATION : 24 hrs (2 shifts)

SCRUBS : Navy Blue and white.

INTERNAL NOTES Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
