The Role :
Sr. Director, Marketing Hardlines, Back to School, Back to College
What you’ll do :
The Senior Director, Retail Marketing leads strategy, planning and marketing campaigns supporting critical Walmart US businesses across the Hardlines portfolio (including key customer services within the Auto space) and two of our largest, cross category enterprise campaigns, supporting Back to School and Back to College.
Responsible for leading critical businesses and campaigns, this leader must be an expert at driving intersection between our customer, brand and business.
They must also be well energized byand well equipped to influence and partner with a wide spectrum of cross functional partners across the retail business, including but not limited to Merchandising, Operations, e-Comm, Product, Finance and beyond.
While this leader will be directly responsible Marketing strategies, programs and results, they will also be a key leader in developing enterprise-wide business, service and program strategies for critical, enterprise-prioritized initiatives, expected to influence at all levels and champion a top-notch end-to-end customer experience across.
The Senior Director will be a key member of the General Merchandising and Seasonal marketing leadership team. A successful candidate will have strong executive presence, be a respected and desired peer amongst colleagues, and have a strong track record leading a team of talented marketers and championing a positive, fun, high performing culture.

Strategy
In partnership with key partners, developing and shaping enterprise strategy and end to end customer experience for the Hardlines and Auto businesses, as well as Back to School and Back to College seasons.
Leading year-round Marketing strategy and support for Walmart’s Hardlines business.
Leading Marketing strategy and plans to drive Walmart Auto customer acquisition (new sign ups), engagement (new services) and retention.
LeadingMarketing strategyfor full-funnel campaigns for enterprise Back to School and Back to College seasons.
Continuously optimize creative & media strategies based on campaign learnings & consumer insights, in collaboration with key partners.
Collaboration
Exercising exceptional collaboration skills, working closely with cross functional partners across the enterprise, including close partnership with merchandising, product and eCommerce teams (among others).
Building strong relationships with external partners, well versed in fostering agency andstrategic partner relationships.
Being an expert connector across and within marketing, partnering with fellow marketers on key priorities, inputs and feedback on enterprise Back to School and Back to College strategies, plans and work.
Storytelling :
Being an expert storyteller able to communicate with clarity, conviction, and magnetism across all levels of the organization.
Having a passion for, rich experience with and strong instincts as applied to the stories we tell our customer through our communication across channels able to inform creative development with a strategic and informed eye.
Insights & Analytics :
Leveraging a deep understanding of cultural, competitive & customer trends, and past campaign performance & insights, to inform Marketing strategies, and drive in campaign optimizations.
Partnering with consumer insights team to design and refine learning plans to guide future work.
Holding a deep understanding of Marketing Measurement methodologies and tools, with accountability for marketing and marketing-driven business results.
People Leadership
Coaching, attracting, and developing a high performing team of associates providing strategic direction, career coaching / development, and removing roadblocks as needed.
Serving as a culture champion as a leader on the GM / Seasonal team. This role reports to the VP of GM / Seasonal Marketing and will work closely with the SVP of Retail Marketing.
Minimum qualifications :
BA / BS in Business or Marketing, master’s in marketing a plus
10+ years of experience in Marketing, with a strong campaign track record.
Experience leading a team
A strong sense of ownership and accountability, and the ability to lead team, communicate effectively, and be a self-starter.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years'
experience in marketing or related field.
